When it comes to Senator Nelson, I’m no trust, all verify.

DNC, White House, and Coakley Camp in a Mexican Standoff — By: Daniel Foster

Washington is already blaming the Coakley camp for today’s loss (?!) so, naturally, the Coakley camp is hitting back. As Jim has already noted at Campaign Spot, Politico has a leaked memo the campaign is circulating, faulting unpopular Obama policies (health care?

Battered but not broken. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger slammed Obamacare and the bribe-takers who passed the nationalized health care bill last month in his State of the State Address today in California. The Politico reported: California Gov

Arnold: ‘He Got the Corn; We Got the Husk’ — By: Daniel Foster

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is pulling back his support for Obamacare. From his final State of the State address: Congress is about to pile billions more onto California with the new health care bill. While I enthusiastically support health care reform, it is not reform to push more costs onto states that are already struggling while other states get sweetheart deals. Health care reform, which started as noble and needed legislation, has become a trough of bribes, deals and loopholes. You’ve heard of the bridge to nowhere. This is health care to nowhere

The Cornhusker Concussive

The Cornhusker Concussive

One of the disgusting features of the Senate’s Obamacare bill is the payoffs extracted from taxpayers and directed to the states of senators wielding key votes. The payoffs culminated in the “Cornhusker Kickback” procured by Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson for Nebraska in order to offset the future costs imposed on Nebraska and other states by the Obamacare bill. The Cornhusker Kickback is now in the sights of various states attorneys general. As Politico explains , under the terms of the deal Nelson cut with Senate leaders to secure his vote, Nebraska is exempted from having to pay for the coverage of its new Medicaid enrollees. Taxpayers pick up the tab, expected to run $100 million over the next 10 years. With 13 Republican state attorneys general threatening to commence suit over the kickback, Nelson is now waving a white flag

Hmmm. He must have seen the polls . If this isn’t a full retreat , I have never seen one. Sen.

Nebraska voters are turning on Joker Ben Nelson. Nebraska’s Ben Nelson– jokerized . Only 17% of Nebraskans approve of the bribes Senator Ben Nelson took from Harry Reid so that he would vote to nationalize US health care. Rasmussen reported: The good news for Senator Ben Nelson is that he doesn’t have to face Nebraska voters until 2012. If Governor Dave Heineman challenges Nelson for the Senate job, a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows the Republican would get 61% of the vote while Nelson would get just 30%. Nelson was reelected to a second Senate term in 2006 with 64% of the vote.

Yesterday, showing real leadership, Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) ground the United States Senate to halt for a brief time, making us wonder why Mitch McConnell had been unable to do that in the past month. DeMint went down to the floor of the Senate and made a motion to suspend the rules of the Senate to allow the insertion of one more amendment into the health care legislation. His amendment? A prohibition on cash for cloture. DeMint’s amendment, which he and Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL) had originally co-authored and passed back in 2007 only to see it killed, would prohibit Senators from accepting targeted earmarks for their states in exchange for votes on legislation. This time, Senator Durbin made a motion to table Senator DeMint’s effort, saying he did not understand why Senator DeMint would think an anti-cash for cloture amendment was needed

We’ll keep our bribing ways, thank you. Democrats voted down the DeMint Amendment tonight 53-46. The amendment would have prohibited the practice of trading votes for pork and pet projects. Jim DeMint reported: Today, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), chairman of the Senate Steering Committee, made the following statement after the Senate defeated his amendment to prohibit the practice of trading votes for earmarks in the United States Senate. Senator DeMint’s motion was defeated on a 53-46 vote.

Harry Reid Plays Class Card Following Historic Vote to Ram Obamacare Through Senate (Video)

Does this really surprise anyone? Harry Reid played the class card following the Democrats historic vote to takeover one sixth of the nation’s economy. Spoken like a true democrat… If you can’t play the race or sex card, play the class card. It’s not clear who he’s talking about since we’re all going to be paying for this massive power grab. Speaking of class… It looks like Senator Nelson put Nebraska in a class of its own with his $100 million sweetheart deal before the vote.
