The stakes are high in the Delaware Senate race to serve out Joe Biden’s term where the victor will be eligible to serve upon election and thus will participate in the lame duck session. The choice for Republican voters, between Rep. Mike Castle and insurgent candidate Christie O’Donnell, presents a conundrum for conservatives. Castle is an immensely popular figure in Delaware. In 2008, when Barack Obama carried the state by a margin of 62-37, Castle defeated his Democratic opponent by a margin of 61-38, in a state-wide race (Delaware has just one seat in the House). Meanwhile, O’Donnell was losing to Joe Biden by a margin of 65-35. Castle’s popularity in Delaware probably rivals that…
Yippie : Former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod announced Thursday that she intends to sue Andrew Breitbart for posting a misleading video of Sherrod that ended up costing her job. Sherrod made the announcement at the National Association of Black Journalists conference in San Diego. “I will definitely do it,” she said. Sherrod lost her job last week after Breitbart posted a clip of a video on one of his conservative sites that appeared to show Sherrod telling an NAACP conference that she did not lend her “full force” …
It’s been a bad stretch for the Democratic majority in Congress. Their polling numbers have been going from bad to worse. The White House press secretary has openly speculated that House Democrats could lose their majority in November. Nasty disputes between Democratic congressional leaders and the White House staff have broken out in the press . One of the most senior House Democrats is now under an ethics-investigation cloud. And, worst of all, the public now sees the Obama agenda clearly and recognizes that it is far too liberal, government-heavy, and anti-business to be compatible with a vibrant American economy. That spells near-certain doom for many House and Senate Democrats seeking reelection and who …
Simply awesome. . “So when my husband and I came to America, we heard a story about conservatives. We heard that these conservatives are a really really weird lot. Nutjobs, basically. And these conservatives, they’re obsessed with sex. They’re obsessed with sex and they’re obsessed with what you’re doing in your bedroom. It’s all they think about. They’re just constantly worrying about …

Okay, you’ve seen as we have reported that the House Ethics Committee has released a l ist of 13 charges against former Ways and Means Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-NY). Stuart Smalley Afraid Of Oversight? Say It Isn’t So! Why So Afraid, Al? Senator Al Franken, former Air America radio host and comedian. He’s afraid of GOP oversight! Al Franken”s Keynote Speech at Netroots Nation : “Here’s more key evidence of how deeply top Democratic officials are tied to the neo-communist anti-Semitic hate-blog Daily Kos (and the rest of the progressive blogosphere, CAP, Media Mutters, etc.). Take your time and really listen to chief election thief Al Franken…

Despite reports of a deal, the House ethics panel just began its first public meeting on the charges against Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY). And for the first time, we’re hearing the charges. The panel is charging Rangel with 13 violations. They fall into four groups: One, violations regarding fundraising Rangel did for a City College educational center named after him. Two, errors Rangel made on his financial disclosure forms. Three, inappropriate use of his rent-subsidized apartments in Harlem. Four, his failure to report taxable income with regards to…
Liberals are desperate to bully or chide the rest of the country into accepting massive new taxes to support the recent federal spending surge. Many opponents who resisted the spending on the grounds that it increased the budget deficit are now being called deficit chickens because they oppose the tax hikes needed to pay for all that spending. This is a nauseating development, as the charge comes from those whose actions prove they care not one whit about the nation’s finances. Nauseating or not, however, there is no …
CBS reports : New York Congressman Charles Rangel has reportedly cut a deal to admit to ethical wrongdoing and avoid a potentially humiliating public trial. Harlem friends of Rangel tell CBS 2 they have been told that the details could be unveiled when the House Ethics Committee meets Thursday afternoon. It’s the culmination of two years of scandal for the 20-term Democratic lawmaker. A t issue is whether the former head of the House Ways and Means committee will admit to any serious ethical wrongdoing.
